Combustion and Control Solutions Announces Acquisition of Burner Management and Control Systems Design and Fabricator Thermal Economy
Addition Marks Strategic Investment in Critical Infrastructure Service and Equipment
CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE (January 13, 2025) - Combustion & Control Solutions (CCS), a regional leader in industrial and commercial boiler services, announced its fourth add-on acquisition with the purchase of the burner management and control systems firm Thermal Economy. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. CCS is a portfolio company of Chattanooga-based holding company Alderman Enterprises.
The acquisition marks a substantial investment by CCS in its boiler services business, which the Thermal Economy team will join to provide design and fabrication of burner management and control systems nationwide. Thermal Economy president Bruce Darling will continue to serve as managing director for the Thermal Economy business, reporting to the CEO of CCS, Glenn Brinckman. Thermal Economy will maintain its operations in Olive Branch, MS to ensure they provide the same dedication and service that earned the company its reputation for "Trust and Experience" in the industry.

Alderman Enterprises acquired CCS in December 2020. In March 2022, CCS completed add-on acquisitions of Atlanta-based Ostrom Boiler Services and Chattanooga-based Ace Power Solutions, a provider of a wide range of combustion-related products.
